A Project (for maximum 30 children at a time) consists of developing in-depth one of seven activities (see the list at Projects+Workshops) over three 1.5 hour visits to your school. It is also common for us to develop an individually tailored activity to work with your own specific topic. Activities are all directly related to architecture and sustainability and all the tasks and related information have been created especially for KS1 and KS2 students, using some of their favourite references to learn about buildings and cities. Like you, we aim to have fun while learning!
A Workshop (for maximum 30 children at a time) consists of developing in brief one of seven activities (see the list at Projects+Workshops) in a single 1.5 hour visit to your school. The content is similar to the Project, but we cover the key concepts in a shorter amount of time. In one single lesson, through both active and passive activities, children will learn that cities and buildings are remarkably fascinating places to experience and observe.
They will have homework to do! They will have to look at the buildings, their shapes and materials while traveling across the city. They will become more aware of their environment from the first lesson
The activities will always be focused on group exercises and it could be displayed in a common space at the school. We are not promoting or running competitions.
